The Mt Kenya Safari


Mukima Manor House overlooks the majestic Mount Kenya, so it’s only fitting to pay homage to the mountain and visit her trails. She is the second-highest peak in Africa. Mount Kenya offers both easy and challenging trails, but all are rewarding for adventurers and nature enthusiasts alike. We have put together an experience that only requires good hiking boots, legs and lungs. Not too advanced or technical, but good mobility and fitness is needed to really enjoy the hike and take in the exceptional view points.

In Search of Giants Safari: The Rhino

We will whisk you away to a beautiful place known for its unique rhino viewing experience. Tucked in the valley between the lofty slopes of Mount Kenya and the peaks of the Aberdare Mountains. This place is internationally recognised as one of the most successful private rhino breeding sanctuaries, boasting over 200 black and white rhinos. You will also see a large range of other wildlife on the game drive, and stop at a shaded spot for a bush picnic.

Swing & Sanctuary: Golf & Orphanage Experience

Keen to play golf on the foot hills of Mt. Kenya. We can arrange this! The golf course is a 9-hole course and open from 8am - 5pm but it is recommended to seize the golden hours of the day, either early morning or late evening to avoid the scorching midday sun. The animal orphanage is open from 8am - 5pm and is next to the course, so some family can play while other visit the animals and enjoy refreshments at the restaurant that overlooks the green.
