Can you combine a safari and a beach holiday in Kenya?

Yes, and ours is a rare kind: one family owns both ends of it, the safari at Mukima Manor in the Laikipia highlands and the beach at The Cabanas in Lamu, so the same people look after the whole journey between. Five days on safari, five on the sand.

How long is the trip?

The classic circuit is 10 nights / 11 days: five nights in the highlands, five on the coast. It's fully bespoke, so we can lengthen, shorten or reshape it around you.

When is the best time to go?

We welcome guests from 15 January to 15 December. The Laikipia highlands reward a visit year-round; the Lamu coast is sunniest and driest from roughly July to October and December to March.

How do you travel between Mukima and The Cabanas?

We handle every leg. The trip includes all road transfers and the return flights between Nairobi and Lamu, so the journey from mountain to sea is seamless.

What does it cost, and what's included?

From $10,000 per person, all-inclusive: transfers, internal flights, all meals and house drinks, every safari drive at Mukima and all boat and water sports at Lamu, plus conservation fees. Only international flights, premium spirits, travel insurance and spa treatments sit outside.
